Shortly after arriving on Leviathan I, Alita began wearing a hooded winter jacket (防寒ジャケット Bōkan jaketto?) that was part of her ensemble up through Round 1 of the Tenth Zenith of Things Tournament (ZOTT).
Design[]
The jacket is based on a design by Shizumen from Saitama, making it the first such reader-submitted design for an article of clothing that was adapted in Last Order. It is a short sleeved jacket with a fleece-like appearance and trim and has been depicted as a light khaki on the cover of Angel of Protest, with the trim a lighter shade. An illustration by Kishiro for the 2003 Ultra Jump calendar depicts the jacket as being khaki while the trim is white.[1]
Plot[]
After she was repaired by Deckman 100, Alita began wearing an outfit that included a dark coloured bodysuit over which she wore the jacket, gloves, leggings, and combat boots. The initial jacket was damaged during her fight with Toji in the Combat Chamber and Alita began wearing a darker replacement during the Preliminaries seven weeks later.[2] The last time she wore this style of winter jacket was in Round 1. Elf and Zwölf later wore a light coloured and a dark version of this jacket in Round 2 to pose as "White Alita" and "Dark Alita", respectively, to cover for the original while she infiltrated Melchizedek. They reverted to wearing their bunny suits after the match.
