Summary[]

Radio KAOS destroyed

Radio K.A.O.S. lies on its side, wrecked and destroyed

Alita follows the tracks of Radio K.A.O.S. and is dismayed to find it crashed and on its side. Looking around for any signs of life, both Alita and Lou investigate the ruins and find the bodies of several sand ninjas killed; Alita notices the strikes made with a bladed instrument and how they were all precise cuts. Wondering who did this, she goes outside and notices Kaos sitting in a clearing with a sword laying nearby. Ignoring Alita's questions, Kaos laments how Jasmine is dead and that his home has been destroyed. Taking off the dress and putting it on Jasmine, Alita tries getting Kaos to come inside but is ordered to leave him alone.

As Alita proposes how they should bury Jasmine's body, she turns around and narrowly misses getting struck by Kaos. Bewildered, she hears the voice of Den speaking from Kaos's body and learns that they are both the same person; Den vows to kill Alita since she now knows the truth about him.

Alita fights Kaos

The Den controlled Kaos fights Alita

As Lou offers to provide assistance, Alita forbids her to since Kaos is the only one who knows how to get to Ido. Den mocks Alita for her restraint and how that she will never defeat him due to her being a woman. Alita admits that she has shown restraint due to finally experiencing happiness in life and does not want to let it go. Den criticizes Alita for not being a true warrior and lunges towards her. They cross blades a few times before a flash flood sweeps through the area. As the flood carries away the destroyed Radio K.A.O.S. vehicle, Alita surfaces with the unconscious body of Kaos.

Trivia[]

  • Den is revealed to be a split personality of Kaos, having manifested himself in the machine body that rules over Barjack.
